| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Componant failure was the two bolts that secure tie rods to rack and pinion steering sheared off, both at the same length. this happened while backing out of a parking space. in turn, both tie rods, one to each wheel became totally disabled and all steering was lost. removed the rack and pinion and foind no defects with operation. replaced with a remanufactured one with new bolts from the dealer. cause remains undetermined. *ak |
