| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Right front wheel hub anti lock brake sensor failed. this resulted in the vehicle having no brakes and on two occasions not being able to stop at/for stop signs with near misses each time. as the brakes did not engage the dealers at first thought that the cruse control was not disingaging when the brake was depressed and that this resulted in the car driving itself thru the brakes. but a computer diagnostic check revealed that the anti anti-lock brake sensor was experiancing intermittent failures and that this was why the brakes were not working. dealer mechanics told me that they had no service bulletins for this type of failure. they also said that when the anti lock brakes fail the vehicle should still brake safely with standard brake system. but in this case the defective sensor was causing the system to not brake at all. *ak |
