| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was traveling on i-5 in irvine, california when my vehicle began to vibrate & the left rear tire disintegrated. upon further inspection, 1 of the remaining 3 tires was determined to be defective. bridgestone/firestone settled my claim for the cost of bodywork and replaced all 4 tires. i am concerned that the problems reported with atx & atx ii tires are not isolated to those models. my experience was identical to those related to atx & atxii failures. i strongly suggest that the nhtsa's investigation into bridgestone/firestone tires be extended to include the deuler ht lt265/75r16 model for safety assurance.( dot number: tire size: lt26575r16 ) |
