| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tank is prone to rust out due to design of tank fuel is allowed to settle below petcock(petcock designed above bottom of tank) allows water to settle and rust tank.tank rusted out while driving at approx 45mph allowing gas to spill out onto the hot engine.had to pull off rd and use fire extingisher as a precaution to a fire.these tanks have also been known to come from the factory (yr1999-2001) already rusting.kawasaki has in some cases replaced tanks under warrantee and done nothing in others that were still under warrrantee. *ak |
