| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Accelerator petal sticks to floor. rapid acceleration then occurs. problem was defective rubber boot at the end of cable linkage located in the engine compartment. rubber boot deterioated and was gripping center cable. this would prevent the gas petal from returning to normal or idle position. this occured several times, especially when the engine was cold and driven immediately. the rubber boot was removed and cable cleaned, problem fixed. |
