| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I had all recommended servicing done at bothun's (eau claire) on 3-16-99 including transmission fluid change. they reported no problems with the transmission at that date. within the month i began having difficulty getting the car into reverse. it would shift erratically or not at all. i called bothun on 4-16-99 as problems got worse. they examined the car 4-19-99 and told me the transmission pump/transmission was leaking badly and needed replacing. chrysler customer service offered to pay 75% of the cost after bothun's contacted them about the repair. i was not willing to pay for the repair as i felt it was a premature failure of the transmission with the car having fewer than 50,000 miles. i agreed to have the work done and pay 25% since i need the car,but i feel that chrysler should pay the rest of the bill. it does not seem normal wear and tear for this to happen in a 1995 car with low mileage and good care. my portion of the bill was $433.36 which i would like reimbursed. |
