Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My concern is that i was charged 196.47 plus labor to fix a wiper motor the gm knew was being recalled on some vechicles my the dealer admission. secondly, i scheduled my truck for a vechicle recall on a gas tank mounting problem, lost a 1/2 days work dropping off and picking up. when i picked up truck i had to ask what they found relative to the tank and was then told, "well we didn't have the parts in stock to fix it." i asked to be called when parts came in and i still am waiting. i called gm to complain and was told to go to another dealer..that was there solution. this problem reminds me on the one i had on my 1990 chev. dually. the paint was peeling off the truck and gm admitted that they had a problem with the primer, i was delayed month after month by don hewlett chev. in georgetown tx in scheduling a re-paint. when i finally insisted on a date, i was told gm no longer covered the defect due to trucks age. gm would not support fixing the problem even though it had be reported within the recall period. my question is how do you get the manufacturer's and their dealers to standbehind what they claim to cover????
