| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Left rear tire blew out at a speed of 10 mph while traveling straight on an asphalt road. a discernible hole was observed in the sidewall. upon inspection of the remaining tires, a soft spot was found in the outside sidewall of the right front tire. new tires (dayton timberline ht p255/70r16) were placed on the vehicle on 7/24/99 by myself since i was leaving town on that date for vacation. i was not comfortable driving on tires that had experienced 1 failure and were subject to a second failure. the chevrolet dealer refused to replace the tires, instead referring me to a general tire dealer. the closest general tire dealer was 25 miles away and was closed. i remain in possession of the defective general tires. i requested from the chevrolet dealer but did not receive a refund for the purchase of the new tires.( dot number: a3cudb2 tire size: p255/70r16 ) |
