| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The plastic stone shield allowed water to remain in contact with the front lower edge of the fuel tank. this caused the tank to rust through and leak. the plastic shield contained the leak, concentrating the leaked fuel before spilling it out onto the ground. this was an original tank, the truck has never been off-road, nor in an accidnet. the poor design of the shiled/tank assembly allowed trapped water to cause a potentially dangerous condition to exist. *ak |
