Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The clutch pedal assembly/firewall fractured and made it difficult to shift the manual trans. the truck could not be placed in first gear without turning the engine off and taking all pressure off of the drivetrain. it became impossible to downshift gears when the vehicle was moving. i informed toyota of the problem and they denied there had ever been a problem even though they redesigned a backing plate where the clutch pedal assembly attaches to the firewall. i have installed the backing plate but the firewall remains cracked. dt |
