Subject: HVAC Blower Motor Connector | Summary: The office of defects investigation (odi) received a petition on december 12, 2019 requesting an investigation of the hvac blower motor connector in model year (my) 2007-2010 saturn sky and 2006-2010 pontiac solstice vehicles. the petition itself can be reviewed at nhtsa.gov under odi number 11299852. the petitioner alleges that my 2007-2010 saturn sky and 2006-2010 pontiac solstice vehicles experience hvac blower motor connector overheating with the potential for vehicle occupant compartment fires similar to those in my 2006-2010 hummer h3 vehicles which are subject to safety recall 15v-421 and that they should have been included within the scope of that safety recall.odi will evaluate the petitioner's allegations to determine if the petition should be granted or denied. if the petition is granted, odi will open a defect investigation; if the petition is denied, odi will publish a notice in the federal register. the complaints cited by the petitioner can be reviewed at nhtsa.gov under the following odi numbers: 11258408, 10735178, 11258408, 10876600, 11019883, 10531789. |
