| Defect Summary : The fuel pump mounting plate does not fully seal the fuel tank allowing fuel leakage onto the engine. |
Consequence Summary: If an ignition source is present, fuel leakage onto the engine can result in a fire. |
| Corrective Summary : Dealers will replace the original rubber seal with a revised seal that has metal inserts so the plate cannot be overtorqued and to more evenly spread the load across the face of the seal. |
