Defect Summary : Equipment description: liquid propane gas (lpg) cylinders equipped with an overfill protection. the overfill protection device may not function properly. Consequence Summary: If a cylinder is overfilled, and some of the gas leaks out, the vapors could ignite if there was a source of ignition present.
Corrective Summary : Manchester tank will replace these cylinders. Recall Notes: Owner notification began january 28, 1998. owners who do not get their lp cylinder replaced free of charge within a reasonable time should contact manchester tank/ recall management at 1-800-420-7511.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
