Defect Summary : The metal fuel supply line banjo fitting can fracture if the nut attaching the fuel line to the fuel filter is overtorqued. this can allow fuel to leak in the engine compartment. |
Consequence Summary: Fuel leaks in the engine compartment can result in a fire when exposed to a source of ignition. |
Corrective Summary : Dealers will replace two fuel supply lines with modified fuel supply lines with a stronger banjo fitting that is more resistant to fracture. |
