Defect Summary : Cotter pins in the upper and lower ball joints may have been improperly crimped allowing the cotter pin to come out of the stud. Consequence Summary: Ball joint nut could loosen causing separation of theball joint from the steering knuckle; this could result in loss of steeringcontrol and a vehicle crash without prior warning.
Corrective Summary : Replace improperly crimped or missing ball joint stud nut cotter pins; also, replace steering knuckle assemblies, as necessary. Recall Notes: System: steeringvehicle description: post office vehicles
